Ronaldo scored after 49 minutes, dribbling into the area before poking an early shot past the Turkish goalkeepr Rustu.

Brazil had created a lot of goalscoring chances and should really have made the game safe. A late revival by Turkey threatened to take the game into extra time, but the Turks were unable to take their opportunities.
