Spain have beaten South Africa 3-2 to top World Cup Group B, meaning they will face Ireland in the next round.

However, the result meant heartbreak for South Africa who failed to qualify for the last 16 on goal difference after Paraguay beat Slovenia 3-1.

Paraguay had been 1-0 down in their game and had a man sent off, but staged a brave recovery to win second place and book a clash with Germany in the next round.
