Fabian Delph will make his full England debut as Roy Hodgson makes two changes to the side that narrowly beat Norway at Wembley on Wednesday night.

The Aston Villa midfielder impressed during a 20-minute cameo in that game and replaces Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the crucial Euro 2016 qualifier in Basel.

The other change by Hodgson is Arsenal new boy Danny Welbeck replacing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, after the latter picked up ankle injury in training.

Jordan Henderson, who had been a doubt, is fit enough to start.

Hodgson is likely to start in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation, with Welbeck wide on the left and Wayne Rooney becoming the central striker.

For the home side danger man Xherdan Shaqiri starts.

Line-ups:

Switzerland: Sommer, Lichtsteiner, Von Bergen, Rodriguez, Djourou, Inler, Xhaka, Behrami, Shaqiri, Seferovic, Mehmedi.

England: Hart, Stones, Cahill, Jones, Baines, Delph, Henderson, Wilshere, Sterling, Rooney, Welbeck.
