Fifa have delayed a press conference until 5:45pm as fresh developments concerning the international football body mire Sepp Blatter and others in yet more corruption and scandal.

Evidence has emerged showing that Fifa secretary general Jerome Valcke was aware of $10m payment from South Africa to Jack Warner. However, earlier Fifa had denied that Mr Valcke had any knowledge of the payment.

The payment, detailed in a letter, has been described as a 'bribe' by US investigators. So far, the US department of justice has indicted 18 people, including 13 Fifa executives, in an ongoing and far-reaching investgation.

Mr Sepp Blatter was re-elected for fifth term as president last week, yet Europe's football body, Uefa, are increasingly putting pressure on Mr Blatter to resign - even considering 'alternative World Cup' in place of Russia 2018.
