Jurgen Klopp gets a lesson in how to speak Scouse with help of nine-year-old Liverpool fan

Six weeks into his reign at Liverpool, Klopp continues his indoctrination into English culture by learning some choice Scouse phrases.

Fresh after Saturday’s victory against title-contenders Manchester City, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has taken time off the training pitch in favour of the classroom. The lesson? Scouse.

Liverpool TV has released a teaser video on their Facebook page of Klopp receiving a one-on-one lesson delivered by nine-year-old fan, Isaac.

As the pair meet, Klopp gives the young fan a trademark hug - as friendly as the one Adam Lallana received at the weekend.

Isaac kicks the lesson off by saying “I could teach you a few Scouse phrases which could come in useful”. The German agrees that it would be “very useful” as he enters his second month at the club.

The first phrase produced by Isaac is ‘boss tha’.

Klopp, initially confused by the phrase, guesses that it means “Hello boss?”

Isaac corrects the head coach, saying the phrase is used to describe something “really good”.

“Ah yes, I’ve heard about it” replies Klopp, who is quick to use the phrase in context.

“We win against Man City… that was boss tha”.

Clearly impressed with his quick wit, the Liverpool manager releases a wild laugh.

Klopp has every reason to be in a good mood after seeing his team dispatch title-favourites Man City 4-1 away at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

The display was so impressive that fans took to Wikipedia, renaming Man City’s stadium to ‘Liverpool FC U19 Training Ground’.

The edited article also claimed that Klopp is the owner of the Etihad while Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino is the ground’s operator.
