Hakim Ziyech scored a spectacular goal to put Ajax in supreme control of their Champions League semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Already leading 1-0 from the first leg, 19-year-old captain Matthijs De Ligt put the Dutch side in control of the tie as he headed home after just four minutes from an early corner.

And just as Spurs seemed to have their noses back in the tie, Ziyech’s brilliant first-time strike sailed past Hugo Lloris after 35 minutes to suck the life out of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Spurs now need to score three goals in just 45 minutes to advance to the final.
