Four times League Champions, six times FA Cup winners and even champions in Europe in 1969. The problem is that Fairs Cup success, almost 40 years ago to the day, was the last time the club won anything of note.

With goals at a premium, the team is packed full of goalscoring talent, which sees the likes of Philippe Albert, Billy McCracken and Frank Hudspeth miss out and, further up the pitch, Stan Seymour, Billy Mitchell, Malcolm MacDonald and Terry McDermott all have to settle for places on the bench.

With the problems of chronology temporarily banished, who would you pick for this Sunday's must win game at Villa Park?
