Alan Pardew is the new manager of Crystal Palace, according to his Wikipedia page.

Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage between Newcastle and managerless Palace over a compensation package for the 53-year-old.

However, it seems that some bright spark writing on Wikipedia just could not wait any longer to update his job title.

Pardew signed a five-and-a-half year deal at Newcastle when he took over from Chris Hughton in December 2010. Pardew had been dismissed by Southampton four months earlier.

A return to Palace would see Pardew playing for the club who he helped guide to the FA Cup final in 1990, when, playing as a midfielder, he scored the winning goal as Palace defeated Liverpool 4-3 after extra-time in the semi-final. Palace went on to lose the final 1-0 to Manchester United in a replay at Wembley Stadium, after the final ended 3-3.

Update: The page has since reverted Pardew's title back to Newcastle manager...for now.
