Serie A's penultimate weekend of fixtures may have to be moved to accommodate the Champions League final, Italian soccer officials said today.

Uefa has asked the Italian soccer federation to hand over the keys to Rome's Stadio Olimpico seven days before the showpiece on 27 May when Manchester United will try to defend their title.

Olimpico tenants Lazio are to due host relegation-threatened Reggina on 24 May. Matches in the last two weekends of the Serie A season are supposed to kick off at the same time to avoid some teams gaining an advantage from knowing other scores.

"No type of solution has yet been found," Reggina president Lillo Foti was quoted as saying by Italian news service ANSA.

Italian federation president Giancarlo Abete said all options were being considered.

Individual Serie A games due to be played on the final two weekends of the season have been moved to other dates in the past but only when the teams involved were not in the running for relegation or European places.
