A rock concert and fireworks display yesterday marked the opening of Poland's new National Stadium, where Euro 2012 will kick off in June.
The 58,000-capacity stadium in Warsaw was built specially for the tournament but its opening – which was planned for last June – has been repeatedly postponed because construction experts and firefighters kept finding work incomplete or needing further improvement.
