Fifa cash payments row rumbles on
Fresh evidence that Caribbean Football Union (CFU) officials were given envelopes containing "gifts" of $40,000 in cash has been revealed.
The president of the Surinam FA, Louis Giskus, confirmed yesterday that he was handed the money on 10 May. He insists he was told it was a CFU gift for development projects.
According to a separate affidavit submitted to Fifa, officials were later told by CFU president Jack Warner that the cash was from Mohamed bin Hammam.
