FIFA has revoked a provisional suspension on a Bulgarian international for failing a drugs test just hours after imposing it.

The world governing body initially said the unnamed player tested positive for a banned substance following a World Cup qualifier against Malta on September 10.

It has now announced the suspension has been revoked after advice from FIFA's medical experts.

FIFA said in a statement: "The chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee has revoked his decision to suspend a Bulgarian international footballer for a period of 30 days.

"The decision was taken following clarification by medical bodies, on the basis of which it appears that there is no circumstantial evidence that anti-doping rules have been violated."
