Frank Lowy incredibly escaped without serious injury despite a dramatic fall from the stage as Melbourne Victory were presented with the A-League trophy in Australia last night.

The Australian Football Federation chairman was standing on a podium, preparing to take part in the ceremony of handing Victory the league trophy following their 3-0 win over Sydney FC in the final.

However, before Lowy was able to do so, he lost his footing and despite trying to hold onto the trophy to stop himself from falling, was unable to do so.
