Burglars broke into his Hertfordshire home and stole the keys to his car, which was parked outside, some time between 5.30pm on Monday and midday on Wednesday.

The Metropolitan Police say that officers want to trace a blue or grey BMW seen parked in Beech Hill, Hadley Wood, where the player lives.

Police say the Mercedes was of "substantial value" and the Sun newspaper reported that the Nigerian international also lost trophies and medals in the raid.
