Here is Manchester United striker Robin van Persie catching an actual shark while fishing on holiday, yes, that is an actual shark.

The unbelievable footage was uploaded to the Dutchman's Facebook page today, with the caption: "Ohhhhhhh ohhhhhh my god wooow unbelievable!"

Showing less lethal instinct than his usually does on the football pitch, Van Persie safely let the shark back to the water after making his catch.

Van Persie wrote on Facebook afterwards: "Our kids love to fish and haven't stopped asking to go out deep sea fishing this holiday. Unaware this was going to be our best fishing day ever!!! What a catch! Nobody got hurt and of course we released the shark."

The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from United this summer, with Italian sides Juventus and Inter Milan interested. He has been at Old Trafford since 2012, scoring 57 goals in 105 appearances.

Should he not fancy a move to Italy, however, surely a change of career to become a professional fisherman is on the cards.
