Pitch invaders are certainly bold these days.

Not content with simply running on the pitch naked, they are trying to take free-kicks, do front-flips, kidnap the players and in some, more extreme, cases even attack players (with a scarf).

One young fan during a pre-season game between Altrincham and Wigan Athletic clearly saw there was a chance to get his five minutes of fame.

The unknown teenager, sees the ball go out from a corner before scanning to check if the steward is paying attention.

He then runs onto the pitch and whips in a set-piece delivery - although we unfortunately don't know how good it was as the camera never gets there.

Wigan defender James Tavernier was certainly surprised...

The game finished 1-1.
