Louis Saha has walked away unscathed after crashing his Ferrari 458 into a fence in Wilmslow, Cheshire on Sunday night. His manager, David Moyes, made a joke of the incident, referring to his past injury record, exclaiming: "Incredibly, he has no injuries from it!"

Despite the lucky escape, Saha is a doubt for tonight's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Reading at Goodison Park due to a niggling hamstring problem. He joins the midfielder Marouane Fellaini, Tim Cahill, Jermaine Beckford and Victor Anichebe in facing late fitness tests ahead of the tie.

Moyes was bullish over his side's chances as Everton seek to deflect the scrutiny over their precarious finances. "The club's accounts came out, there was a lot of bad news," he said. "However, [tonight] is a night we need the fans right behind the team, supporting us the way they did at Chelsea. It's the FA Cup – you never know what will happen. We have to make sure this is one where we do expect to get Everton through."
