The Highlight Reel: Bavaria beer 36, Fifa 0

Raise your Bavaria beer glasses (though not if you're in a Fifa-controlled zone, of course): Barbara Castelein and Mirthe Nieuwpoort, two of the 36 women who starred in the brewer's guerrilla marketing stunt at the Holland game last week, are free after a court decided they should not face jail after all. And no, they didn't wear the body-clinging orange mini-dresses to court.
Curse of ITV, episode 3
First their HD coverage missed England's only goal. Then their pundit Robbie Earle was sacked for giving tickets to the Bavaria beer girls. Now Edgar Davids has had to be cautioned for wearing a jumper emblazoned with the logo for a street soccer tour, of which he's the front man. Commercial breakdown?
Free Seat Stadium
After failing to sell out any games so far, the Free State Stadium (capacity 45,000) in Bloemfontein (population 370,000) has a new nickname: the Free Seat Stadium. Fifa may not find that very funny.
The other big game
Lions rejoice! The spike in airfares has saved their skins. The Confederation of Hunters Associations of South Africa spokesman Jokl le Roux says, "many hunting outfitters have had up to 90 per cent cancellations or postponements".
