The worst panenka penalty of all time? This is how silly Andrea Pirlo would have looked if his spot-kick against England went wrong
Benfica youngster probably won't try one of these again
When panenka penalties go according to plan they look brilliant. This is what they look like when something goes wrong.
A Benfica youngster tried the cheeky chip penalty that Andrea Pirlo made his own he he used it to embarrass England at Euro 2012, only Romario Balde clearly doesn't have the same touch as the Italian maestro.
Balde's effort, which was so bad it didn't even reach the goal, was then compounded by the events that followed.
His Benfica team were 1-0 up in their Uefa youth league quarter-final match at the time, but nine minutes after his penalty miss, Shakhtar Donetsk equalised.
Balde was then taken off and after extra-time Shakhtar won on penalties, eliminating Benfica from the competition.
