Video: Watch Tottenham winger Erik Lamela score 'rabona' wonder goal... FIVE years ago

The Argentinian scored against Asteras Tripolis last night, but it's not the first wonder goal he's scored

Erik Lamela is the talk of the office in work places across the country this morning following his incredible goal against Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League.

Tottenham's club-record signing scored a 'rabona' goal from outside the box, a shot where one foot wraps around the outside of the other to produce a curling shot. Few try it, and even less see it fly into the top corner. But that's exactly what happened after 29 minutes of the Europa League match at White Hart Lane.

Speaking after the 5-1 win Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino even said it was perhaps the best he had ever seen.

"One time I scored one goal like that myself," Pochettino said, laughing. "You will find it on YouTube.

"No, it was a very big goal, a great goal, an unbelievable goal. I am happy for him and it helped us to get the three points.

"Maybe it is the best [by one of my players ever]. Probably."

However, whilst Pochettino was joking about YouTube and having never seen a goal of such quality, a video has come to light showing a 17-year-old Lamela scoring rabona in a River Plate youth game.

Questions were asked about the £30m Tottenham paid for Lamela, but last night's goal alone was almost worth the fee alone.
