Anderson has finally completed his move away from Manchester United.

The midfielder, who seemed forever on the peripheral at Old Trafford during his eight years at the club, has been announced as an Internacional player.

The Brazilian club confirmed the news on their website with the following statement: "Sport Club Internacional concluded on Tuesday the procedures to announce the signing of midfielder Anderson. He signs a four-year contract."

Anderson had been expected to depart during the most recent transfer window, with team-mate Juan Mata even inadvertently letting the cat out the bag earlier in the week when he wished him farewell in his regular blog.

United paid Porto around £26m for Anderson in 2007 but despite such a large fee he struggled to hold down a regular spot under Sir Alex Ferguson, was loaned to Fiorentina last season and was informed by Louis van Gaal that he wasn't a part of the Dutchman's plans.

The 26-year-old, who has eight caps for Brazil, has been allowed to leave on a free transfer.
