Anthony Martial contract: What the Manchester United star really signed in official club photos
Martial's previous contract expired at the end of next season and the new deal prevents him leaving for a fraction of his value
Manchester United announced that Anthony Martial has signed a new deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford until 2024.
The contract extension puts an end to speculation over the French winger's future given his previous contract was set to expire at the end of next season, which may have meant the club risked losing him for a fraction of what he is worth.
The club released a series of images of Martial and United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but supporters notice something strange about what was shared.
Zooming in on the pictures appears to reveal that the contract used is not the real document.
It seems that the shared image was a document created for the photo with random letters and paragraphs and Martial's signature at the bottom of the page.

“This club is all about winning trophies and I am sure the next piece of silverware is not that far away.”
Solskjaer added: “Anthony is one of those naturally gifted players that any coach would love to work with.
"For a young man, he has a good footballing brain which, when coupled with his exceptional talent, makes for a player with an exciting future ahead of him.
"This is the perfect club for Anthony to progress his development as a top-class forward and we are all delighted he has signed a long-term deal."
