Arsenal unveiled their new home strip for the forthcoming 2016/17 season today, but the vertical stripe down the middle of the shirt has drawn criticism from the Gunners faithful on social media.
It was a frustrating season for the Gunners - they ended up 10 points behind Premier League winners Leicester City and endured a trophyless campaign.
There was also developments in shirt numbers too - Alexis Sanchez, formerly No 17, will wear No 7.
Sanchez inherits the number from Tomas Rosicky - who ends his 10-year stay at Arsenal this summer with his contract expiring.
HOW THE 'STRIP' WAS GREETED
The Gunners are set to be boosted by Granit Xhaka's arrival from Borussia Monchengladbach. The 23-year-old Xhaka flew in to London on Friday to undergo a medical and finalise a deal with the Gunners, with reports of a £30m move being agreed between the Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.
With Xhaka due to represent Switzerland at the Euro 2016 Championship next month, Arsenal have moved swiftly to secure his signature, and the deal is expected to now be a formality with the club preparing his announcement imminently.
