Prime Minister says sporting crowds could return by October

Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa played out on Tuesday night with a plane flying overhead carrying the message “Back Arteta, Kroenke Out”.

The plane flew over Villa Park shortly after kick-off and remained visible around the ground for approximately five minutes.

Arsenal supporters have generally been pleased with coach Mikel Arteta’s work since the Spaniard took over from Unai Emery in December.

But some are anxious to see the former Gunner backed by club owner Stan Kroenke in the transfer window this summer.

Others – if the banner flown over Villa Park is anything to go by – would rather Kroenke simply stepped away from Arsenal.

The north London side have seen financial setbacks due to the coronavirus crisis, and a summer spending spree seems unlikely.

Arsenal beat Premier League champions Liverpool last Wednesday before reaching the FA Cup final by defeating Manchester City 2-0 at Wembley on the weekend.
