Arsenal are bottom of the Premier League. It's official.

After their shock 2-0 defeat by West Ham at the Emirates Stadium today, the Gunners are now at the foot of the league.

While Sunderland and Norwich also lost by two goals, Arsenal are bottom of the division because of goals (not) scored.

West Ham won at the Emirates thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Mauro Zarate. £11m new signing from Chelsea Petr Cech was culpable for both goals, and enjoyed a nightmare.

Kouyate put the Hammers in front with a header after Cech came charging out of his goal and totally missed the ball. While defenders Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal were at fault positionally, Cech should have done better when trying to get near the ball.

Then for West Ham's second, he got nowhere near Zarate's seemingly tame long-range effort.

At half-time, Sky pundit Jamie Carragher said of the first goal: "Cech's got to do better. You can't come flying out like that."
