Arsenal Christmas Party: Gunners players celebrate festive win over Newcastle United with Christmas jumpers
In buoyant mood after their 4-1 victory over Newcastle at the Emirates, Arsenal's players hit their Christmas party in varying degrees of style
In the list of footballers behaving behaving badly at Advent, Arsenal's Christmas celebrations were decidedly low-key.
There were no pictures of drunken shame, and Arsene Wenger was not forced to intervene to cancel any future knees-ups as Sir Alex Ferguson infamously had to do back in 2007.
The players were in festive mood following their 4-1 demolition of Newcastle at the Emirates that lifted them to just two points off the top four, a week after Wenger suffered abuse from fans following a 2-1 loss away at Stoke.
In fact, the main object of interest on show was the variety of Christmas jumpers.
Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Mathieu Debuchy and Kieran Gibbs all chose to sport the novelty sweaters, while Danny Welbeck opted for a smart-casual blazer teamed with a tie.
Hector Bellerin, meanwhile, seemed to have forgotten his socks - a risky move given the frequency of frosts at the moment.
