Queen's Park Rangers have failed with their appeal to have Joey Barton's red card for violent conduct in Monday's Premier League match against Norwich overturned.
Barton was involved in a tussle with Bradley Johnson and appeared to headbutt him. QPR appealed but the Football Association confirmed an independent panel rejected it.
Barton responded on Twitter yesterday: "Life goes on. Feel sympathy for those who have never played yet set the rules..." he wrote.
