Blackpool will leave it as "late as possible" before deciding whether Boxing Day's Premier League match with Liverpool can go ahead. Successive games at Bloomfield Road against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have already been postponed this month.

There is no undersoil heating at Blackpool and the Premier League do not insist that clubs use such a system despite fears of yet another Bloomfield Road postponement.
