Cavenaghi open to Tottenham switch

Bordeaux striker Fernando Cavenaghi would consider a move to Tottenham if Harry Redknapp makes a bid for the Argentina international when the January transfer window opens.
Cavenaghi, who came off the bench in the second half of his club's Champions League draw with Chelsea last night, has been in France since the start of 2007 and his form has alerted a host of Barclays Premier League clubs.
The 25-year-old told Setanta Sports: "I do not know if Tottenham are really interested in signing me. If it's right, though, I will study this offer because they are a top English team."
"I must say I like the English league, I like it a lot.
"I know many Premier League players, even if there are not many Argentinians up there. Carlos Tevez, Javier Mascherano - I know them well. Why shouldn't I follow in their footsteps?"
Redknapp only has Darren Bent, Fraizer Campbell and Roman Pavlyuchenko as strikers in his squad, with the latter of the three cup-tied for Uefa Cup duty.
It has led to Spurs being linked with Wigan forward Emile Heskey, while reports in Italy suggest Inter Milan's Adriano is a potential target.
