Newcastle United midfielder Chieck Tiote has reportedly left his mistress furious after he married a second wife in his native Ivory Coast.
The 28-year-old, who earns £45,000-a-week at St James' Park, is said to have wed Laeticia Doukrou in a ceremony this month in Abidjan despite already being married to Madah, according to reports.
Tiote lives with Madah and their two children in their £1.5m mansion in Ponteland, a village on the outskirts of Newcastle.
However, Tiote also has a one-year old baby with 33-year-old Zimbabwean mistress Nikki Mpofu, who is said to have been left outraged at his second wedding.
Ms Mpofu, who ended a three-year affair with Tiote, claims that he had promised to marry her.
The Sun reports that she told a friend: "He met my mum and said he's permitted to have several wives. I was comfortable with that. He's used me like a mop. He's just a pig."
Tiote, a devout Muslim, is permitted to marry up to four women at once - Jean Musampa, Tiote's agent, confirmed the wedding to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
"I can say that he did get married and that it is his second marriage," he said. "This is nothing unusual. He is a muslim."
