Ben Chilwell injury: Chelsea manager Frank Lampard offers update after ankle knock
Chilwell was substituted after just 10 minutes against West Ham
Chelsea full back Ben Chilwell will undergo a scan on his ankle after picking up an injury in Monday's 3-0 win over West Ham United.
Chilwell, who was substituted after 10 minutes following a collision with West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen, could also miss Saturday's Premier League game against Arsenal.
"I expect he'll be doubtful for Arsenal. He turned his ankle and tried to carry on but it was too painful," manager Frank Lampard said after the game.
"We'll have a scan to try and see how bad the injury is. We'll update after."
Reece James was also ruled out of the game against West Ham due to a knee injury but Lampard said he hoped to have both his full backs fit ahead of a packed festive schedule.
"Reece and Chilly have been doing really well, we hope their injuries are not that bad and they will be in and around the games over Christmas," Lampard added.
With fellow forward Timo Werner now without a goal in nine games, Abraham's return to form was a welcome relief for Lampard, who saw his team move up to fifth in the Premier League and six points off Liverpool.
"It is good for Tammy's confidence clearly," the Chelsea manager said.
"You have to work for your goals and he did work for the goals today and put a lot of effort in.
"I wanted him to be a handful, I wanted to see movement and he did that. Oli (Giroud) has been doing it and scoring goals recently so it was a decision more on the opposition for Tammy (starting) and I'm pleased with how he did.
"You need people scoring goals regularly and this will do Tammy good."
