Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that Roy Keane was “always screaming” at him to “pass the ball” during his time at Manchester United, but the Portuguese ace says that it helped him become the player he is today.
Ronaldo joined United from Sporting Lisbon in 2002, and went on to become one of the club’s greatest players before he joined Real Madrid for £80m in 2009.
“[Keane was] always screaming to me: 'Cristiano! Pass the ball!'" Ronaldo told Sport magazine. “But it was good! At the end of the day, I feel happy because I learned a lot from them.”
Ronaldo added on former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson: 'When you’re a young player, you don’t understand decision-making properly: when have to take a touch, when to dribble.

“He [Ferguson] taught me the basics that took me to where I am today. I remember that in the beginning – they always say I didn’t do the decision-making great. So he taught me how to do this.”
