Eddie Howe calls on Bournemouth players to carry club over finish line against battling Swansea

Eddie Howe is determined for Bournemouth to finish their season strongly ahead of this weekend’s meeting with Swansea, and called on his side to rediscover their best form in order to confirm their Premier League safety.

The Bournemouth manager expressed a desire for his team to rediscover their form, confessing Bournemouth have not played at their best recently: “We’ve come off mentally, not technically or tactically, but the difficulty is to find that again.

“The first priority is to get Premier League safety. It’s in our hands, but we have a tough opponent on Saturday,” Howe continued. “I have a team to prepare and a team to perform well. Swansea have a good team shape and work ethic. They’re very spirited.”

The 40-year old confirmed the continued absences of Harry Arter and Junior Stanislas, while Adam Smith has not recovered in time to play any part in Saturday’s game. Defender Tyrone Mings returned to the bench against Southampton last week and is fit to play.

This will be the final game at the Vitality Stadium this season, and Howe hopes the home crowd see his side produce a strong performance.

“We need to make sure we end this season on a high and that there’ll be a great atmosphere. It’s very important that we leave our supporters with a good feeling. We want to make sure we have no regrets after the game.”
