Everton last night revealed a detailed programme for their £200,000 investment in making away travel more affordable, including improvements to Goodison Park for visiting fans and £5 off tickets to four of the club’s own away matches.

The club will knock £5 off the cost of tickets for the challenging festive programme – which includes trips to Manchester United, Arsenal, Swansea and Stoke, with all junior Evertonians travelling to Stoke City on New Year’s Day being able to do so for £1 - a discount of £15 on the normal purchase price.

But since the club typically take 3,000 away fans around the country and sell out the away end at opposition grounds, they will seek to make their own ground more appealing to visitors. This will include an extension of the Fan Zone in the Park End car park so that a greater number of supporters – home and away – can enjoy the pre-match atmosphere alongside each other.
