Everton have made just one change from the side that ran out against Arsenal for tonight’s Merseyside derby.

With Phil Jagielka out through suspension, Ramiro Funes Mori has stepped in to partner Ashley Williams at centre-back.

Speaking ahead of kick-off, Funes Mori stated that his side would be playing with “passion” and “aggression.”

“It’s going to be a tough game. We have to play with passion…we have to be aggressive at all times," he said.

“You get marked by the derbies you win, you get marked by the derbies you lose. Hopefully it’s a nice game, a good tempo, a good environment.”

Ross Barkley has also retained his place in the starting XI after impressing against Arsenal during his side’s 2-1 victory last Tuesday.

As for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has fielded an unchanged team to the side that beat Middlesbrough 3-0 on Wednesday.

As suspected, Simon Mignolet has once again been named as the Reds’ starting keeper after delivering between the sticks against Boro.

Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge have also been named on the bench after recovering from their respective injuries.

Team news:

Everton: Stekelenburg, Coleman, Funes Mori, Williams, Baines, Gueye, McCarthy, Lennon, Barkley, Valencia, Lukaku

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Firmino, Mane, Origi
