Ahead of the Premier League meeting between Everton and Manchester United this weekend, we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match...

Everton fan - Gary Stevens

I have to say that I'm feeling surprisingly confident about this one! This is the best that I've seen us play since Roberto Martinez took over at Goodison Park and with Romelu Lukaku firing on all cylinders we will offer a serious threat up front.

Manchester United at home is always a game to look forward to and after our superb performance against last season's champions Chelsea last month, coupled with United's humiliation at the Emirates, confidence will be high amongst the Everton squad.

I'd love to see Gerard Deulofeu given another chance to shine, as I really believe that he could be the one to bring back the glory days to the blue half of Merseyside! It will definitely be a tight affair, but I'm really hoping to see a 2-1 victory over the Red Devils with Jagielka to grab a late winner!

This is a fixture that us United fans have really come to dread over the past couple of years - a trip to Goodison Park never seems to go well. It ended Moyes' time in charge and we really struggled again last season when Martinez's men showed real aggression and desire; our defence simply couldn't cope.

The defeat to Arsenal was a massive knock to the confidence as well and we've had to wait two weeks before trying to get back on track. Hopefully Anthony Martial can get back to scoring ways - he looked like the most dangerous outlet in an otherwise pitiful display against Arsenal. I've given up hope on Wayne Rooney getting back to his best and Memphis Depay needs to take a long, hard look at himself. Apart from two goals against Club Brugge, he's been largely underwhelming and already looks like he could be on his way to being the new Nani.

Three points are an absolute must because I'd put good money on City beating Bournemouth and Arsenal getting past Watford. However, with Everton's recent record against us, I foresee a nervy performance and think we'll get away with a 1-1 draw.
