Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang

Opponent: West Ham (H), Manchester City (A)
Price: £11.0m

A double gameweek is upon us at very short notice, with Arsenal and Manchester City both playing twice in the space of five days, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is arguably the most attractive premium asset on offer.

Aubameyang's £11.0m price may be prohibitive for some but he is second only to Jamie Vardy in the forward bracket this season and has a particularly enticing game first up against relegation-threatened West Ham.

Riyad Mahrez

Opponent: Manchester United (A), Arsenal (H)
Price: £8.4m

While City are clearly a superior side to Arsenal, they have a slightly tougher pair of fixtures on paper and practically every player apart from goalkeeper Ederson is at risk of rotation.

Riyad Mahrez is as good a choice as any, at a reasonable price of £8.4m and with a relatively low ownership. The Algerian returned in his last outing, with an assist against former club Leicester.

Matt Doherty

Opponent: Brighton (H)
Price: £6.2m

Wolves' form and fixtures are both hard to ignore and one-time fantasy favourite Matt Doherty is leading their charge towards the Champions League places, with a goal and an assist in his last two.

Doherty is also offering defensive returns, with three clean sheets in his last four, and has more of an attacking upside than other popular Wolves defenders Willy Boly and Romain Saiss.

Harvey Barnes

Opponent: Aston Villa (H)
Price: £6.1m

Leicester's worrying form continued with defeat to basement-dwelling Norwich last week but a visit from Aston Villa, the top-flight's worst defence, could provide Brendan Rodgers with a turning point.

Harvey Barnes was only used a second-half substitute in Wednesday's FA Cup tie at Birmingham and looks more dangerous than the rest of Brendan Rodgers's faltering forward line.

Nicolas Pepe

Opponent: West Ham (H), Manchester City (A)
Price: £9.2m

Back to Arsenal, where summer signing Nicolas Pepe is gradually making good on his £72m price tag. Though still a frustrating player at times, he has collected a goal and three assists in his last two games

The meeting at the Emirates against West Ham will be key again, but do not write off Arsenal's chances of breaching a City defence which will be without the injured Aymeric Laporte.

Honourable mentions: Alex McCarthy, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bukayo Saka, Diogo Jota, Sergio Aguero.
