There are three main ingredients when it comes to picking the right players in your fantasy football team - form, fixtures and value.

A player's form is measured by his average fantasy points scored in his last six games, known as PPG6 (points per game from his last six games).

The top fantasy football managers calculate a player's value with a formula known as PPM (points per million). Dividing a player's total score by his value will show you how many points you should expect a player to net, per million spent, from your overall fantasy football budget.

There is also PMG (points per million, per game) and PMG6 (form and value combined).

The Independent have teamed up with www.oulala.com, a daily fantasy football game that boasts a scoring matrix comprised of 70 different statistical criteria.

Here, using its extensive database of statistics, Oulala has suggested four players who each tick three very key boxes – those who are enjoying a good run of form, have a reasonable price-tag and have an attractive fixture this weekend.
