Wolves are resuming their frustrating search to replace sacked manager Mick McCarthy after Walter Smith rejected the job yesterday.

"I was totally unsure whether I really wanted to do it or not," Smith said. "It was a purely personal thing, nothing to do with Wolves."

Former Wolves manager Dave Jones is now being linked with a return to Molineux eight years after leaving.
