The Manchester City captain, Vincent Kompany, is a doubt for the club's match at Chelsea on Sunday, after badly twisting his knee in Wednesday's Champions League draw against Real Madrid.

City's assistant manager David Platt will be forced to sit in the stands and play no part in the club's last group game at Dortmund on Tuesday week, having been sent off on Wednesday for his conduct towards an official.
