Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the top four suffered yet another serious blow as they lost at Leicester, with the Gunners slipping to their third consecutive defeat.
Unai Emery’s side endured a miserable first-half, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles dismissed on the half-hour mark for receiving his second yellow card.
Youri Tielemans opened the scoring after the break when he headed home James Maddison’s pinpoint cross.
Jamie Vardy then made sure of the victory in his customary style, leading a lightning-quick counter-attack and heading home a rebound after his initial shot hit the crossbar.
The England international then added insult to injury by scoring again deep into injury time, to leave Arsenal in fifth place in the Premier League table.
