Leicester: 2019/20 Premier League season preview

Leicester City demonstrated their top-six credentials by battling back to beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The Foxes made a strong start to the match and thought they had taken the lead when Wilfred Ndidi finished from close-range. However, he was clearly offside and VAR ruled out the goal.

Spurs then took the lead when Harry Kane beat Kasper Schmeichel with a fine instinctive finish after he had been tripped in the penalty box.

Tottenham should have had another goal in the second-half when Serge Aurier finished confidently, only for his effort to be controversially ruled out by VAR due to a razor-thin offside call against Son Heung-min.

Leicester then struck twice late on. First Ricardo levelled the score, before James Maddison secured all three points with a fine finish from outside the box. Here is how we rated the two teams.
