Lionel Messi and Barcelona could be first visitors to West Ham's Olympic Stadium
Club in talks with La Liga giants to celebrate move to their new home in Stratford

Lionel Messi could be one of the first players to grace West Ham’s new stadium, with the club in talks with Barcelona about the Spaniards being the first visitors to the Olympic Park.
Luis Enrique’s side – who demolished Gary Neville’s Valencia 7-0 on Tuesday night – could be the first away side to play at West Ham’s new 55,000-seater home in Stratford on August 3.
The Hammers have made contact having consulted with fans over the best way to celebrate the move, with the majority of supporters eager for the chance to see Messi and his team-mates.
The clubs are yet to reach a formal agreement. West Ham are also understood to have approached several other big European clubs.
West Ham play their last game at Upton Park against Swansea on May 7.
Their move to Stratford will end a 122-year stay at their current home.
