Chelsea kept their title dreams alive and put a major dent in Liverpool's bid after goals from Demba Ba and Willian secured victory at Anfield.

On the most crucial of games at the top of the league who were the stand out players?

Ba capitalised on Steven Gerrard's slip to race through and calmly slot past Simon Mignolet to give Chelsea the lead just before half time.

Brendan Rodgers' side failed to ever truly get going in an attacking sense and couldn't carve out too many clear chances.

Jose Mourinho played a 'weakened' team with their Champions League semi-final second leg coming up next week but his team defended well and got their opening goal at a vital time.

Check out all the ratings from the match below...

With Liverpool committed forward in pursuit of an equaliser, Chelsea substitutes combined to give the away side their second late on after Fernando Torres raced clear to step up Willian for a simple tap in.

Branislav Ivanovic and, Premier League debutant, Tomas Kalas played well in central defense for the Blues as did the defensive midfield trio of John Obi Mikel, Nemanja Matic and Frank Lampard.

But what about those all important ratings, who was best and who was found wanting?
