Liverpool hammered Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday in a win which improved their Barclays Premier League title prospects and severely dented Arsenal's hopes of winning a first league crown in a decade.

Arsene Wenger's men were completely humiliated at Old Trafford as United inflicted their heaviest defeat since 1896.
