Daniel Sturridge could return to the Liverpool squad for the side's trip to West Ham United on Saturday.
The England striker has only made six appearances for the Reds, scoring four goals, but manager Jurgen Klopp said he was a "maybe" to return at Upton Park.
The 26-year-old has had numerous injury setbacks over the last couple of years and played in just 17 matches in all competitions last season.
He has been nursing a hamstring injury in recent weeks but Klopp, who has been cautious with Sturridge's fitness, could name him in his squad.
However, the Reds will definitely be without Divock Origi and James Milner, while he is awaiting news on Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen.
For Slaven Bilic the impressive Dimitri Payet will return after two months out with an ankle injury.
