Ahead of the Premier League meeting between Liverpool and Manchester United this weekend, we caught up with a couple of fans for their take on the match...

Liverpool fan - Yemi Abiade

Liverpool will take great encouragement from the hard-fought draw with Arsenal last time out in the Premier League. Although we were a defensive shambles, we pulled a result out of the hat just as it was becoming unlikely and a great effort from our injury-ravaged squad. We really turned up for a clash against the table toppers and Klopp will want the same level of intensity against Manchester United on Sunday.

Dejan Lovren is set for a return to the squad and after seeing a defensive performance that left much to be desired on Wednesday, his presence will do the team the world of good. And with Wayne Rooney seemingly back in form, containing him and the pace of Memphis Depay is vital. Roberto Firmino had his best game in a Reds shirt against Arsenal and hopefully he can also weave more magic come Sunday. Especially against the old enemy.

Score prediction: Liverpool 2-2 Manchester United

Manchester United fan - Matt Gault

It was exciting to see flair and flamboyance restored to United against Newcastle, but it was still a highly frustrating game. There are reports that Van Gaal will be sacked if United lose pace with the top four and considering the draw against Newcastle has left us sixth - nine points off the top - there is a 'last chance saloon' feel about the Liverpool game.

Klopp's Reds are obviously going through their own rough spell and I feel that if United show the same willingness to attack as the midweek game, we'll come away with a vital three points. Of course, the result will also hinge on how the defence performs, with Smalling needing to redeem himself after a sloppy display against the Magpies.

It was also great to see Rooney back to somewhere near his best and I'm confident he will be fired up for this one. I'm going to go for 2-1 United here - with Van Gaal given a stay of execution as a result.
