Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been named on the substitutes bench for the visit of West Ham this afternoon.

The England striker has been out all season through injury but looks set to finally make a return to Reds action.

Andy Carroll, who said he had lost faith in former manager Brendan Rodgers during an interview with The Sun, starts for the Hammers.

The visitors go into this Premier League clash in seventh place, one point above lowly Liverpool.

Rodgers hands a starting place to Adam Lallana while Jordan Henderson continues to sit in the heart of his midfield.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Henderson, Lucas, Moreno, Markovic, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling.

Subs: Ward, Johnson, Lambert, Sturridge, Allen, Borini, Ibe.

West Ham: Adrian, O'Brien, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Song, Amalfitano, Nolan (c), Downing, Carroll, Valencia.

Subs: Jaaskelainen, Demel, Oxford, Poyet, Noble, Jarvis, Cole.
