Steve Bruce’s Hull City side face a tough test against Manchester City at the Etihad this weekend and go into the fixture having failed to score in 11 of their last 15 Premier League games.

Manchester City come into the game on the back of a point gained at Stamford Bridge – a fixture they will look back on frustratingly given that they dominated for the most part, despite having to come from behind against the league leaders.

Last week Hull lost their fourth consecutive Premier League game for the second time this season as Newcastle put three past them to record a first win since Alan Pardew’s departure.

The Tigers were relatively inactive in the recent transfer window but Bruce will be hoping deadline day signing, Senegalese frontman Dame N'Doye, can get off to a flying start for his new club.

Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini will be looking for gifted Spaniard David Silva to push on and eclipse his best ever Premier League goal tally of seven – the figure he currently finds himself on – while Edin Dzeko who has scored three in his last two against Hull be may drafted in to produce the goods.
