Manchester City: A look back at 2018

Kevin De Bruyne starts on the bench for Manchester City as they take on Liverpool in their crucial Premier League tie at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola has made two changes from the side which defeated Southampton 3-1 last Sunday as John Stones replaces Oleksandr Zinchenko, meaning Aymeric Laporte shifts to left-back, while Leroy Sane comes in for Riyad Mahrez.

De Bruyne missed City's win at St Mary's as a precaution after sustaining a small knock, but has trained with the squad since, but Guardiola doesn't want to take any risks with a player who has managed just 194 minutes in the Premier League all season.

Teams:

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Danilo, Kompany, Stones, Laporte, B Silva, D Silva, Fernandinho, Sane, Aguero, Sterling

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Mane, Firmino
